The ESD E4.1 system combines all the benefits
of its three predecessors and is the best system in the igus® e-chains® range. The E4.1 series are more stable with the same or smaller dimensions than their predecessors. Almost all accessory components and mounting dimensions are identical. With the igus® E4.1 system, the service life of your application can be increased still more and thereby lower costs.

The unsupported length is dependent on the additional load X-axis: Unsupported length in m FLB/FLG Y-axis Additional load in kg/m Lower scale: Travel S in m FLB = unsupported with permitted sag FLG = unsupported with straight upper run The diagrams for unsupported length apply to the standard e-chains® in igumid GLW material. The values can also be used for the assessment of applications of e-chains® in special material ESD. In case the respective maximum unsupported length exceeds by 80%, the suitability of the e-chain® must be ensured by a practical test.

Aluminum "Super Trough"- the igus® standard
The Aluminum "SuperTrough" is a modular guide trough system for long travels (when E-Chains® glide on themselves, as per sketch). Aluminum "SuperTrough" is available in low cost "basic versions" and can be upgraded for heavy duty applications. This universal usage makes it the igus® recommended new standard trough system.
