This novel pick-and-place insertion head for a circuit board machine uses DryLin® R liners. Besides their linear guide systems which provide precision guiding, the open design of these liners saves on installation space.

Conventional designs that did not use these liners had a separate guide for the linear motor, measuring system and anti-twist protection. With the new linear guide system of the DryLin® R liners, the new circuit board machine takes up 20% less space than its previous counterparts. In addition, the weight of the machine, thanks to the DryLin®R liners, is also substantially reduced.
